20 minute one-shot excerpt from Eugene Ionesco’s play. MTA project. 2008

Concept Outline

An old couple at the end of their lives hold a meeting to present the old man's wisdom to a room full of invisible guests and the world. A study, working with the questions: What is the conversation/relationship between the performer and the camera? How do the performers work with the text in a physical way to inform the story and the meaning of the play?

Artist Statement

This is an investigation into the difference between film for film and live performance transferred to film  and was made as part of a portfolio of works for a Masters of Theatre Arts (MTA) degree co-taught by Victoria University and Toi Whakaari in Wellington, New Zealand.
