My role on A Minecraft Movie was to work in collaboration with the director, producers and the departments of VFX, wardrobe, props, set, and stunts to develop and work with a range of performers to execute the mocap/puppetry/and in-camera movement of Minecraft characters (eg Villagers, Piglins, Vindicators, Dennis the Wolf).
Series 1 Episode 9: My task was to choreograph a repeating line dance sequence for the episode. The rhythm was timed so the actors could move in and out of it as the scene progressed.
My role was to work with Julian Dennison to create an 80s aerobics routine for him to perform and teach.

A series of commercials for Prius, in-which people make up the landscape. Directed by Mr Hide. We worked with 150 dancers to make rectangular tiles of danced landscape, as well as tree, sun, cloud elements. We moved the tiles of people around the studio. The landscape was stitched together in post.
As the Japanese surrender at the end of World War II, General Fellers is tasked with deciding if Emperor Hirohito will be hanged as a war criminal. Influencing his ruling is his quest to find Aya, an exchange student he met years earlier in the U.S.
Made for the Russian market and shot in New York. The spot is directed by Kezia Barnett. We auditioned a large cast of NY-based dancers and had two weeks of rehearsals prior to the shoot.
We developed the dance based on the natural movement vocabulary of the spots hero Daniel Batten. We set his movement and used this sequence to create the group dance.

BP Swipe, Save, Celebrate - starring William Waiirua. Working with Ryan and William the first step was to establish which of the Waiirua iconic moves to present to camera in each scene. We then honed the timing etc, for each shot.
Musical and documentary unite to introduce The Coffin Club, a truly unique community organisation bringing free-spirited seniors together to construct and personalise their own low-cost coffins. Based in small town New Zealand, with over 60 active members, this group of inspirational elderly meet once a week to rejoice in life while facing the realities of death.
One night each week the hall at Kelston Girls’ College in Auckland comes alive as twelve young people living with a disability come together to form StarJam’s West Dazzling Dance group.
The choreography here was sourced from the StarJammers dance routines and their own improvised dance moves. My role was to coordinate the movement to camera and keep spirits lively through the shoot.

The spot is directed by Kezia Barnett and made for three territories: South Africa, Philippines, and India. We cast models both in NZ and around the world, with a ‘hero’ cast for each territory. Working with dancers we choreographed the scenes and then honed and rehearsed the movement just prior to the shoot with the models. Key shots were territory specific and therefore three variations of moment was developed for each ‘hero’ for these moments.
